Inanna is the Sumerian goddess of love, war, and fertility. She is also strongly associated with both justice and sensuality.

Her journey into the underworld to extend her power seems a fitting (and hopefully not too terrifying!) metaphor for the shadow work we all must do in order to reach our fullest potential and expression.
